DJ Anthum
Sydney’s Straight banger of hip hop and Rnb who knows how to move a crowd.
Dj Anthum wasted no time after hitting 18, becoming a resident at Fridays at the Pink Pepper lounge. He has also played some of Sydney’s hottest Rnb and Hip-Hop sets at Shark Bar, Ranch hotel, Mars Lounge, Eleven Nightclub, Space Nightclub and Docks Hotel. Whilst the art of DJ’ing is Anthum’s foremost passion, he’s also an entertainment entrepreneur. In mid 2008, he founded his own promotional company and entertainment label, Team West, which was behind the extremely successful Disturbia and Freeze events. Anthum’s talent behind the decks and pumping up a crowd have seen him carve out an enviable resume in 3 years on the scene, all while balancing a full-time career in IT. And having recently landed another residency, this time at the Collector Hotel’s Escape, it’s clear he’s just getting started! |
Jessie James
DJ Jessie James aka Jessica Frangelli is based in Sydney, Australia, and is a well established DJ, commercial radio announcer and voice over. Outgoing and charismatic; cheeky yet witty – Her style is raw, real and personal. Her mixing focuses on spinning the right kind of tone to a crowd, injecting personality and energy into all her sets, all whilst reaching punters on a personal level. In a testosterone-driven dance music industry back in the mid nineties, DJ Jessie James began her career as a radio DJ at the tender age of 15. Never one to shy away from the limelight, her well honed verbal skills became apparent, as she quickly developed a strong network of contacts throughout the DJ and nightclub industry in the 90’s, while still attending high school. As her fascination with dance music began to grow, Jessica was given the opportunity to co-host a dance music radio program on Sydney community radio station, 2RDJ FM. It soon became apparent to listeners and promoters that her star was only going to get brighter and she was soon snapped up as a regular guest DJ at under age events and parties. Since then she has kept herself busy DJing, quickly earning a reputation as a crowd pleaser, spinning fat funky vocal house to crowds in her hometown of Sydney and throughout Australia including Collector Hotel, Q Bar, Castle Hill Tavern, Polish Club, Grand Tasman Hotel, Star Bar, The Great Northern Hotel and AKA Nightclub. |
DJ Damn
Playing a mixture of sounds is DJ Damn's trademark! His diversity to play different styles has seen him play in clubs like Home, World Bar, Arthouse, Havana, Moulin Rouge, Piano Room, Trademark and The Bank to name a few. He has also played at Parklife (2010) and Freedom Festival (2009). Damn has also had a taste of playing to crowds overseas having played a series of gigs in New York. More recently Damn has contributed to the Mixmasters series on 96.1 The Edge's radio show sharing airwaves with DJ G-Wizard. With Summer around the corner, Damn is set on conquering the clubs not only in Sydney but Australia wide with plans of spreading his brand and sound to as many ears as possible. The world is his oyster and he's not letting go. |
DJ Fresh
It all began in the famous garage of Fresh's older brother who used to be a D.J. This was also the place where his brother brought the first set of 1200’s that came to Australia back in 1988. He was only 14 at that time and started to try and mix it up. He had no guide or assistance because to tell the truth, no one really new how to mix or scratch around him so he kept at it till he got it and then started ripping shit up. 1989 was the year Fresh came out of that garage and showed his ability at a 21st where his brother was the DJ. There were 200 people at the event so he pushed his brother aside and told him to watch as he showed him a thing or two. Fresh pulled out Get Busy by Mr. Lee & Happening All Over Again by Lonnie Gordon and beat mixed it and that’s where his journey began. Fresh then started doing birthdays, weddings, dance parties and that success soon flowed into the club scene and he found himself playing to crowds of up to 2000 people. Fresh describes his favourite music as House, RnB, Old Funk & Retro - that’s what makes him different. He's got it all and can play to any crowd - guaranteed to make you dance! |
